*We offer year-round employment

PAY: $14/hr DOE (may start at a higher rate, depending on experience)

HOURS: 34-40 hours per week

About Us

The Boys & Girls Club of the Black Hills is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for youth to develop crucial life skills and reach their full potential. Since our establishment in 1994, we have been committed to delivering high-quality youth development programs to boys and girls aged 6 to 18.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging youth development programs to participants with a focus on character development, academic success, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Encourage positive behavior and provide guidance to help participants navigate challenges and make positive choices.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment where participants feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and experiences that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of youth.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and program outcomes to track progress and evaluate program effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for youth development and a strong belief in the potential of every young person.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with participants, families, and staff members.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs and interests of participants.
  • Prior experience working with youth in a structured setting is preferred.
